LIVING ON MOUNTAIN TIME

body_opportunitybox.pngRarity Communities currently has nine communities in development throughout the Tennessee mountains where the culture and history are rich and diverse. Tennessee has no state income taxes, a low cost of living, which is 10 percent less than the national average, and a mild climate with four distinct seasons. Most areas of the state are within a day’s drive of 75 percent of the U.S. population. Most of the Rarity communities are surrounded by the Great Smoky Mountains, the most-visited national park in the United States.

Knoxville, in particular, has been ranked the fifth best place for business and careers in the country by Forbes magazine. The city and its surrounding areas are home to corporate headquarters like the Tennessee Valley Authority, Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the Aluminum Company of America, ALCOA.

Business is booming and with it a great development and cultivation of the area. There are theaters, museums, shopping and, of course, The University of Tennessee. In 2007, over 26,000 people attended the Knoxville campus. In addition, over 8,000 are employed by UT. This university is Tennessee’s flagship and research-intensive university. The academic quality and student preparation are outstanding.

Having a nationally-recognized university in our backyard makes the area even more diverse and successful. Linked to the university is the University of Tennessee Medical Center, which offers the area’s only level one trauma center and academic hospital.

What is so special about Tennessee is that all of these services and accommodations are set within a beautiful landscape that provides an urban and rural atmosphere all in one. The Tennessee River winds its way through the state and connects to the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway that travels all the way down to the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean.

DEFINING THE TERM - QUAINT SOPHISTICATION

village-center-photo.pngCentral to Rarity Mountain living is the Village Center. The Center will embody all of the charm and nostalgia that is the core ideal of the small mountain towns of the past, while offering a new, innovative design with all the amenities and attractions associated in the city.

The Village Center is planning to feature a Fresh Market, numerous stores and boutiques for shopping, upscale dining, taverns and home cooking grills.

Enjoy a stroll in the cool mountain air, spend some time window shopping after hours or meet with your family, friends and neighbors.

After dinner, make plans to relax and enjoy the remainder of your evening with the sights and sounds of a show at the planned Rarity Amphitheater.

THE ADVENTURE IS YOURS FOR THE LIVING
